About The Position

As a Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol Driver in Bartow, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine mobile and on-foot patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state and compliance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Monitor access control points, verify identification and/or credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services, assisting with scene control, and completing required reports.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, alarms, radios, and key control, and promptly communicate equipment issues and/or unusual observations through established channels.
