As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and driver logs, and support dock and yard operations with clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and service requests with professionalism. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at employee and visitor entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining visitor and contractor logs.
  • Manage vehicle and trailer access at gates and/or docks by confirming appointments, directing traffic flow, and documenting inbound and outbound movements per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter, and report maintenance issues, suspicious activity, and policy violations through required documentation channels.
