You will complete routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide helpful customer service while communicating clearly with staff and visitors. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following site-specific procedures and policies, supporting security-related operations, and assisting with emergency response activities as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government facilities, visitor areas, parking lots, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and operational concerns.
- Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual conditions, and report concerns according to post orders, including assisting with basic traffic and visitor flow when needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, assisting first responders, and providing clear directions to occupants and visitors.
- Complete detailed reports and activity logs, document incidents and patrol findings, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
