As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, support visitor and badge processes, and monitor assigned areas with regular patrols. You will stay highly visible, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with employees, guests, and teams onsite. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, contractors, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology location.
  • Control access at entrances and restricted areas by confirming authorization, issuing and/or collecting visitor credentials, and directing individuals to the proper check-in process.
  • Monitor access control systems, alarms, and video surveillance as assigned, and document security-related activity per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
