As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment within a chemical and petrochemical location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, where your agility, reliability, and commitment to people-first values will help create a welcoming atmosphere for all employees and visitors.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by TSA is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with access-related inquiries and directions.
Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the location's requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
Document and report any access violations, suspicious behavior, or security-related incidents according to established protocols.
Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, following site-specific plans and Allied Universal guidelines.
Communicate professionally with location staff and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and observations.
