About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Patrol Weekdays in Plano, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and respond to needs with a customer-service mindset. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific, security-related procedures, access requirements, and post orders for a tech-focused location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, corridors, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter lines, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other monitoring systems as assigned, and document unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with on-site contacts, and assisting emergency responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed reports, activity logs, and shift handoffs, and support site operations by checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for proper status.
