About The Position

Accomplished expert communications leader serving as an individual contributor for the key technology functions including corporate cybersecurity. Provides deep expertise in this high-demand specialty area and enterprise-level strategic counsel. Responsible for advancing and protecting Truist's reputation and brand, and promoting Truist's culture. Position is not remote and MUST be located in Truist's Charlotte Office. Role has in-office expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience influencing and advising executive leaders and leading major initiatives, demonstrating a track record of positive results.
  • Demonstrated business and/or financial services industry acumen
  • Proven experience in leading and creating internal/external communications strategy.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments, influence others, meet tight deadlines, and manage risk.
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors.
  • Experience using data and analytics to drive decisions
  • Proficient in digital platforms, AI tools, and basic media formats.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in communications roles with a strong emphasis on technology, cybersecurity, or related technical domains is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-level or cross-functional communications strategies in high-skill specialty areas with large-scale impact.
  • Lead strategic communications and oversee execution for assigned areas (LOB/function/or high skilled area).
  • Provide direct strategic counsel for the most senior executive-level enterprise leaders, including C-suite leaders.
  • Build alignment across high-impact stakeholders.
  • Deliver thought leadership and mentoring to teammates across the department and organization.
  • Drive operational excellence and efficiencies.
  • Measure impact and adapt based on data and analytics.
  • Responsibly apply AI and other technology tools to improve and streamline communications work.

Benefits
