About The Position

Help strengthen a culture of integrity and regulatory excellence in healthcare. We are seeking a Compliance Senior Specialist to support the development, implementation, and daily operations of our organization’s compliance program. This role works closely with clinical, operational, billing, and legal teams to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations while identifying and mitigating potential risk across the organization. Reporting to the Vice President of Compliance, this position plays a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance for services related to hospice, palliative care, and other healthcare programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare regulatory affairs or compliance
  • Working knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks including HIPAA, OSHA, and Medicare/Medicaid requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple regulatory deadlines
  • Ability to interpret healthcare regulations and legal language
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with regulatory databases and document management systems
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local healthcare regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and CMS requirements
  • Conduct routine compliance audits and risk assessments to identify potential gaps
  • Track regulatory changes and assess their operational impact
  • Maintain compliance calendars and ensure timely submission of required reports and renewals
  • Prepare and submit regulatory filings, applications, and reports to agencies such as CMS, state departments, and accrediting bodies
  • Maintain accurate records of regulatory submissions and related correspondence
  • Support documentation processes to ensure compliance readiness
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of internal policies and procedures
  • Help create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for regulatory processes
  • Develop training materials and support staff education on regulatory requirements
  • Assist with preparation and coordination for regulatory inspections and surveys
  • Track inspection findings and support remediation efforts
  • Help monitor corrective action plans and ensure follow-through
