About The Position

The Senior Content Strategist & Editor-in-Chief will be a member of the Identity, Amplification, and Communications (IAC) team, reporting to the Director, IAC The ideal candidate is a senior hands-on individual contributor who sets editorial direction and delivers an AI-enabled, multi‑channel content strategy across digital, multimedia, and editorial formats. You ensure our content is clear, consistent, and authoritative for both human audiences and LLMs, and you establish a durable red thread (shared narrative + common language) across every channel. As part of this role, you will own the content creation agency relationship, scope, and budget to scale capacity and quality.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years in content strategy/editorial leadership in B2B tech.
  • 12+ years of content strategy, content management, and/or content development
  • University degree completed in a related field. A completed Master's degree will impact years of experience
  • Expert writing/editing with strong editorial judgment and the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Demonstrated AI/LLM fluency in content workflows (prompting, evaluation, governance, quality control).
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functionally and make decisions without direct authority.
  • Experience owning agency/vendor scope and budget (SOWs, spend tracking, delivery/quality management).
  • Data-driven mindset with comfort using analytics to improve outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building scalable content systems (messaging architectures, modular frameworks, editorial playbooks).
  • Prior experience working at a marketing and/or content creation agency is a plus.
  • Experience optimizing for modern discovery (SEO + answer engines) using structured patterns (FAQs, comparisons, decision guides).
  • Comfort operating as an editorial “final say” in a matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated success creating and enforcing a common language / red-thread narrative across contributors.

Responsibilities

  • Editorial direction & content strategy
  • Own the content strategy across the customer journey (awareness thru adoption) and key channels (web, social, email, events, campaigns).
  • Set editorial standards (voice, accuracy, governance) and keep quality high across all assets.
  • Establish and maintain the red thread, so teams use consistent language, claims, and proof points—tailored by audience, not reinvented.
  • AI-first creation & scaling
  • Create and edit high-impact content for senior business and technical audiences (POVs, articles, briefs, case studies, scripts, web experiences).
  • Use AI/LLM workflows to accelerate research, ideation, drafting, repurposing, and localization—with human judgment and accountability.
  • Build “AI-ready” foundations (canonical source pages, structured FAQs, proof libraries) that keep derivatives consistent.
  • Cross-functional orchestration & agency ownership
  • Partner across Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Comms, Brand, Product, and SMEs to source insights and ship integrated programs.
  • Own the content creation agency relationship end-to-end: briefs, scope of work, timelines, reviews, and quality.
  • Own agency budget: forecast spend, track burn vs deliverables/credits, and coordinate contracting/renewals with Procurement/Legal/Finance.
  • Performance optimization & LLM influence
  • Track and improve content performance (engagement, SEO, conversion influence, answer‑engine performance) and iterate based on evidence.
  • Design content for dual consumption (humans + LLMs) with clear structure, grounded claims, and stable semantics.
