About The Position

We are seeking a forward-thinking Senior Designer AI Production – Creative Technologist to bridge design, technology, and innovation across dynamic digital projects. You will support teams by prototyping digital solutions, developing assets, and identifying new creative capabilities that enhance workflow efficiency and output quality. The ideal candidate combines strong aesthetic sensibilities with technical problem-solving while staying current with emerging tools and trends. To design, direct, coordinate, and produce visual materials for Mayo Foundation and Mayo affiliates in a variety of mediums, including: digital and social assets, web design, electronic presentations, and multimedia products as well as printed work such as books, magazines, brochures, event displays, and posters. The Senior Designer AI Production is an integral team member who, in addition to their normal production activities, provides design direction, prepares files for printing, image manipulation, and creates workflows for optimization. The Senior Designer AI Production is commonly known as a high-level performer both in volume and level of excellence of work within the unit. The Senior Designer AI Production possesses the highest level of technical and creative skills and is known within the unit as a go-to resource for other designers. The Senior Designer AI Production is an information resource for supervisors and management, keeping them abreast of latest technologies, techniques, and trends. The Senior Designer AI Production may also be asked to represent their unit by sitting on committees and task forces within the Institution. In addition, the Senior Designer AI Production can also be expected to participate with teams on larger, more complicated projects including inter-divisional projects. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship/ we will not sponsor or transfer visas for this position. Also, Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in design, advertising, or a related industry
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and project management software (Workfront, Airtable, Asana etc., Workfront preferred)
• Must have expertise in design thinking and systems and refined typography, be able to adapt and execute consistently elevated design, and be highly skilled in design problem solving
• Should be comfortable working within established brand guidelines while continuing to find new and interesting ways to express the brand within those guidelines
• Must understand and defend the importance of brand consistency
• Candidates must be flexible, resourceful, curious, and possess strong project management and interpersonal skills to advance multiple projects simultaneously within the designated timelines
• The ideal candidate brings strong expertise with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including hands-on experience using Firefly for generative content and Fusion to streamline and elevate creative workflows

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Advertising, design or design/UX concentration preferred
• Agency or in-house agency experience is strongly preferred
• An established portfolio of elevated design concepts demonstrating expertise in a range of creative mediums and large integrated campaigns
• Previous experience in digital, video, rich media, UX/UI, motion, photography art direction, and emerging media
• AI and automation workflow experience preferred
• In addition to Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft and Figma experience preferred
