About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer - REMOTE. In this role, you will significantly contribute to designing, building, and operating a reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient infrastructure. Your expertise in CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and cost management will enhance the productivity and visibility of our development team. Collaborating with engineering teams, you will streamline release processes, ensuring operational excellence and system reliability, making a positive impact on our partner’s mission.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, New Relic).
  • Proven experience implementing cost alerts and cost optimization strategies in cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment workflows.
  • Partner with engineering teams to streamline release processes and improve deployment reliability.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and performance.
  • Define and maintain cost monitoring and alerting strategies to optimize cloud spend and prevent unexpected usage.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis efforts.
  • Establish DevOps best practices around reliability, security, and operational excellence.
  • Continuously evaluate tools and processes to improve scalability, availability, and efficiency.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong DevOps culture.
