Aligned Data Centers is launching Aligned Academy, a workforce development and technical training platform designed to build a sustainable, job-ready talent pipeline for our rapidly expanding data center portfolio. This role will design, launch, and scale Aligned Academy from the ground up, partnering with local communities, junior and technical colleges, and workforce organizations to deliver high-impact training programs aligned to data center technical operations roles. In year one, the Sr. Director will design and launch Aligned Academy in a priority market, establish curriculum standards tied to Aligned’s operational model, and build the foundation for a scalable, repeatable program. Over time, Aligned Academy will expand nationally and internationally, with the long-term objective of becoming a revenue-generating, industry-recognized training platform supporting both Aligned and external partners. Requirements

  • 10-15 years in HR with a focus on workforce development, training, or talent acquisition/technical outreach program building
  • Proven experience launching and scaling programs targeting expanded labor pools
  • Ability to quickly understand technical operations environments
  • Strong partnership and business acumen
  • BS degree

Responsibilities

  • Academy Strategy & Launch • Design and execute the Aligned Academy vision, roadmap, and operating model
  • Launch 1–2 pilot Academies in year one aligned with active and planned markets
  • Define success metrics including hiring conversion, retention, time-to-productivity, cost savings, and community impact
  • Build a scalable framework replicable across markets Curriculum & Program Development
  • Develop industry-aligned curricula for data center technical operations roles
  • Partner with internal SMEs to ensure alignment with Aligned’s standards and safety culture
  • Align programs with certifications and accreditation pathways Community & Educational Partnerships
  • Build partnerships with community colleges, workforce boards, and community organizations
  • Serve as Aligned’s external ambassador for workforce development Talent Pipeline Integration
  • Align Academy output to hiring, apprenticeship, and early-career strategies
  • Partner with P&C and Operations to forecast workforce demand
  • Create structured pathways from training to employment and advancement Monetization & Long-Term Growth
  • Design a monetization strategy including licensing and external partnerships
  • Build the business case for profitability
  • Position Aligned Academy as an industry training standard
