About The Position

This role provides strategic leadership in corporate development, focusing on identifying growth opportunities, executing mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and forming strategic partnerships. You will work closely with executive leadership to shape long-term strategy, evaluate potential investments, and drive business development initiatives that align with organizational goals. The position requires leading complex transactions from due diligence to post-merger integration, developing financial models and business cases, and fostering collaboration across cross-functional teams. You will monitor market trends, assess competitive positioning, and provide actionable insights to support executive decision-making. This is a high-impact role that combines strategic thinking, financial expertise, and strong leadership to accelerate growth and innovation in a global environment. The position is remote with potential U.S.-based engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, life sciences, or a related field; MBA from a top-tier program strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in corporate strategy, business development, strategy consulting, M&A, investment banking, or related fields.
  • Experience in a global life sciences organization; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling and Excel skills, with advanced PowerPoint proficiency for executive presentations.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities, with the ability to influence and drive change in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-impact global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to create and execute long-range corporate development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Source, evaluate, and lead M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, and licensing agreements to drive growth and innovation.
  • Manage end-to-end transaction processes including target identification, due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and post-merger integration planning.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models and business cases to quantify value creation and support executive decision-making.
  • Coordinate with external advisors such as investment banks, consulting firms, and legal counsel to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
  • Assess portfolio optimization opportunities, including divestitures and asset rationalization, to focus on high-value initiatives.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and monitor industry trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and success of corporate initiatives.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams and act as a strategic thought partner to the business.
