Position Purpose: The Senior Director, Market Development & Analytics Partnerships, EMEA is responsible for expanding HIMSS’s presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa by driving strategic growth and increasing adoption of HIMSS analytics services in both private and public sector markets, including government partners at national, regional, and local levels. This role requires strong expertise in government relations and digital health policy, with the ability to engage effectively with public and private sector stakeholders, influence digital health policy discussions, and contribute to shaping healthcare transformation initiatives. The Senior Director will lead market and client development efforts, manage a qualified pipeline of prospects, and drive revenue growth by cultivating long-term partnerships and serving as a trusted advisor. In close collaboration with EMEA leadership, this individual will advise on the evolution of the product and service portfolio, identify opportunities to enter new markets, and negotiate with partners to expand HIMSS’s regional impact. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in IT or CIO-level engagement, a deep understanding of digital health priorities, and a consultative, strategic approach to relationship-building.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, technology, or healthcare-related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of directly related experience required; background in digital healthcare technology strongly preferred.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a consultancy role, demonstrating ability to deliver advisory services, synthesize client needs, and support solution development.
  • Proven experience in business development and sales, strategic partnerships, or market expansion - preferably across EMEA.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage government entities and key stakeholders across the digital health ecosystem, including at the national and EU level.
  • Skilled in leading virtual teams and driving strategic plans through to execution in complex environments.
  • Fluent in English; multilingual capabilities strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business development and client delivery for HIMSS analytics services across EMEA, with a focus on supporting digital health maturity and measurable outcomes.
  • Develop and execute targeted market expansion strategies to grow presence across new countries, public health systems, and commercial segments.
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with senior government stakeholders, including ministries of health, national agencies, regulatory bodies and EU institutions. Translate policy and regulatory changes into actionable opportunities for HIMSS analytics offerings.
  • Serve as a senior HIMSS representative in high-level analytics and digital transformation partnerships, engaging with CIOs and health system leaders.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform HIMSS’s positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategy; provide structured Voice of Customer feedback to guide the evolution of HIMSS’s product and service portfolio and the development of updated maturity models.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HIMSS teams (e.g., Membership, Events, Workforce, Product) to align messaging, offerings, and delivery across the region.
  • Support adoption of HIMSS's broader portfolio, including membership, education, and thought leadership, through integrated partnership and outreach efforts.
  • Lead and build capability within the EMEA team using a localized, country-specific approach to talent and relationship development.
