Requirements

  • Associates degree or actively pursing an associates degree (must complete within 3-years)
  • Valid NC Drivers License
  • 10 years of healthcare leadership experience with minimum two years in Facility Services or Project Management experience in a health care environment

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the VP of Environment of Care to foster a culture of attention to health and safety.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to the Environment of Care Quality Coordinator and the Environment of Care & Facilities Services Supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with the VP of Environment of Care Quality, EC Facilities colleagues, Practice Manager/Directors and other leadership to audit, analyze and develop performance improvement measures to ensure that all EC/EM/LS protocols, policies, and procedures are followed to meet compliance
  • Provide oversight for CWH Fleet including overall distribution and usage, maintenance, and compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the Facilities/Environmental Supervisor to assure continued cleanliness of all sites.
  • Responsible for safety, security and emergency operations of all centers and works with the VP of Environment of Care Quality, and other leadership in coordinating safety training and drills. (i.e. fire & disaster drills).
  • Serve as the Chair of the Environment of Care Committee, including review of data, reports and minutes.
  • Monitor Joint Commission standards update for applicable changes and works collaboratively with the VP of Environment of Care Quality review and revise existing policies, procedures and workflows to assure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the VP of Environment of Care Quality to prepare the annual Environment of Care Quality Summary report for the Board of Directors and organizational leadership.
  • Responsible for completing and maintaining a current Statement of Conditions for The Joint Commission related to environment of care, emergency management and life safety.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining updated lists of vendors at each different satellite center to include name, address, phone number and specialty (i.e. electrician, heating/air).
  • Work collaboratively with the VP of EC Quality to implement goals, objectives, and/or key performance indicators and work standards for Environment of Care maintenance and housekeeping
  • Plan, direct and schedule removal of snow, ice, storm debris to keep centers open and free of hazards.
  • Work with VP & EC quality staff on Emergency management training, drills, events and related documentation
  • Work with VP of EC and Construction Manager on construction /renovation planning including site packing, move out/in, storage, delivery of equipment, etc.
  • Work with practice directors/managers and Senior leadership and creation and completion of corrective action plans and other tracer related findings and related issues.
  • Responsible for the security of all CWH sites including security/alarm systems, monitoring, and participation on the monitoring call list.
  • Work collaboratively with EC department colleagues to develop and conduct EC/EM/LS related education and training.
  • Participate in Joint Commission, and HRSA readiness activities including document preparation, as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
