About The Position

The Senior Director, Operations functions as the senior non-physician executive for a significant segment of acute, ambulatory , post‑acute services operations within a geographic region. Travel required. Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital is fueled by the expertise of a well-established medical staff representing more than two-dozen specialties, while remaining focused on excellent care. Services at this hospital include cardiovascular services, emergency services, family birthing center, hospitalist program, imaging/radiology services, laboratory services, nephrology services, orthopedic services, rehabilitation services and surgical services. Requirements

  • Masters Degree (required)
  • 7 years of leadership (required)
  • Diverse leadership experience/knowledge within complex health-related organizations

Responsibilities

  • Direct the integration and alignment of acute, ambulatory , post‑acute services , strengthening collaboration between inpatient and outpatient care teams.
  • Lead strategic planning that aligns with organizational goals related to growth, care continuum integration, service delivery, and revenue enhancement.
  • Drive initiatives that improve care transitions and patient outcomes , reducing fragmentation and enhancing the overall patient experience.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative leaders to design and implement innovative care models that support population health and care strategies.
