As a Senior Engineering Project Team Lead – Electric Motors concentrating on rotating electrics design in the Medium Voltage Rotating Components team, you will be joining a rapidly growing innovative team on the cutting edge of electrification. You will have the unique opportunity to direct and contribute to the concept, development, and design of rotating electrical components, primarily consisting of motors and generators. The Medium Voltage Rotating Components team is responsible for end-to-end design and development of components for multiple Caterpillar applications. You will have the opportunity to strengthen your simulation skills, analytical skills, and mastery of mechanical and electrical engineering concepts associated with medium voltage motors and generators. You will be responsible for the execution and coordination of design efforts necessary the successful design and development. You will have the opportunity to lead and work with a highly experienced team of engineers, having significant experience across Caterpillar electric drive applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or related discipline (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
  • Products and Services: Knowledge of major products and services and product and service groups; ability to apply knowledge of product and service appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Demonstrated experience in mechanical & electrical systems and/or components with special emphasis on electric drive systems preferred but not required
