About The Position

Are you passionate about preventing workplace injuries with engineering solutions? Do you excel at applying ergonomics principles to solve complex design challenges? Amazon's Global Future Operations Ergonomics (GFOE) team is seeking a Senior Ergonomist to integrate ergonomics principles into Amazon's product development lifecycle across our global operations network. In this role, you will conduct rigorous ergonomic assessments of facility designs, equipment specifications, and operational processes before they reach our operations. You'll apply advanced biomechanical modeling, computational ergonomics frameworks, and science-based assessment methodologies to quantify MSD risk factors and develop engineering controls. Your technical analyses will directly influence the design of Amazon's future buildings, automation systems, and material handling equipment at scale. You will partner with automation engineers, industrial designers, construction teams, operations leaders, and safety professionals to translate ergonomic requirements into actionable design specifications. Your work will directly impact the health and safety of Amazon associates worldwide. About the team Global Future Operations Ergonomics (GFOE) is dedicated to enhancing workplace safety and health by systematically reducing the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). GFOE's objective is to integrate ergonomics principles into Amazon's facility designs, equipment specifications, and operational processes. GFOE embeds ergonomics early in the development lifecycle, evaluating designs from concept through implementation to ensure MSD risk factors are eliminated. GFOE supports Amazon's entire network, ensuring a comprehensive approach to ergonomics improvement. This strategy supports Amazon's commitment to employee well-being and promotes operational efficiency by integrating state-of-the-art ergonomics practices into future building plans and forward-looking designs.
