Job Description The Senior Finance Manager will support strategic financial planning and analysis for U.S. Bank’s credit card business. This role partners closely with product management to set financial performance targets for growth initiatives and to establish frameworks for monitoring ongoing performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Six or more years of related experience
  • Well-developed financial analysis, forecasting and planning skills
  • Thorough knowledge of financial modeling and valuation techniques
  • Big-picture thinker but pays attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or masters in related field
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Knowledge of payment/credit card industry and key drivers preferred
  • Credit card business knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and/or managerial skills

Responsibilities

  • Support portfolio growth planning process in partnership with finance, marketing, product management, and risk teams
  • Develop and manage key performance metrics, dashboards, and management reporting
  • Deliver financial analytics to inform profitability decisions
  • Drive profitability optimization across products, channels, and partnerships
  • Build and maintain portfolio forecasts using advanced financial modeling tools
  • Partner with key PCS stakeholders to execute portfolio growth initiatives
  • Perform complex financial analyses across portfolios and business units
  • Produce clear, actionable insights to explain performance variances and trends
  • Assess portfolio risks and opportunities and recommend data‑driven actions
