About The Position

Spring Footwear Corp. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (Accounting & FP&A) to join our Finance team. This role sits at the intersection of accounting execution and financial analysis and is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and turning accurate financial data into meaningful insights. The position plays a key role in strengthening month-end close processes, enhancing financial controls, and supporting the development of FP&A capabilities such as cost center reporting, budget-to-actual analysis, and profit center performance. The role reports to the Vice President of Finance and works closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional stakeholders across the organization. This is a hands-on role with significant responsibility in both accounting operations and analytical support, offering strong growth potential as the company continues to evolve its financial processes and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 4–7 years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a hybrid accounting/FP&A role.
  • Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and core accounting principles.
  • Experience working with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
  • Prior experience in consumer products required.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned month-end close tasks, including inventory and prepaid expense reconciliations.
  • Support balance sheet integrity through timely reconciliations and variance investigation
  • Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset additions, disposals, tracking, and depreciation schedules.
  • Develop and maintain expense and corporate credit card reporting that provides clear business justification, consistent categorization, and full visibility from summarized reports to underlying receipts.
  • Support accounting controls by ensuring documentation, approvals, and audit trails are maintained.
  • Partner with the Accounting Manager to improve close efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Extract and analyze data from multiple databases using SQL and Excel Power Query.
  • Prepare and analyze department-level and profit center reporting.
  • Perform budget-to-actual analysis and investigate variances with business owners.
  • Support forecasting and internal management reporting as processes mature.
  • Assist in developing standardized financial reporting packages for leadership.
  • Translate accounting data into actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • Document and maintain SOPs for key accounting and finance processes.
  • Help design and improve internal controls across accounting and expense management functions.
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps, or risks in existing processes and propose practical improvements.
  • Support cross-functional process alignment as systems, reporting, and policies evolve.
