About The Position

We’re an established and growing apparel manufacturing company seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead our accounting and financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a production ‑ driven environment and understands the financial complexities of apparel, inventory, and cost accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in apparel or manufacturing accounting
• Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and production workflows
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise, BlueCherry, etc.)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data organization)
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience with import/export costing and landed cost
• Multi ‑ entity or multi ‑ state experience

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting functions: AP, AR, GL, payroll, and financial reporting
• Manage month ‑ end and year ‑ end close
• Oversee cost accounting for raw materials, trims, labor, overhead, and finished goods
• Maintain strong inventory controls and reconciliation processes
• Analyze production costs, variances, and factory performance
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash ‑ flow projections
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
• Support external audits
• Partner with production, sourcing, and operations teams
• Improve financial processes and internal controls
