Reporting directly to the SVP of Design & Innovation, you will be responsible for the end-to-end conceptualization and design development of complex foodservice facilities. This role focuses on translating client visions into functional, high-intensity foodservice environments, ensuring seamless integration of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) requirements and structural elements. You will lead the design lifecycle from initial programming and space planning to final construction documentation, ensuring that custom millwork and heavy industrial equipment are optimized for operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 7+ years of proven success in foodservice design or hospitality architecture, specifically within restaurant or high-security government environments.
  • Technical Knowledge: Intimate knowledge of the Architectural & Engineering (A&E) process, including structural MEP and custom fabrication techniques.
  • Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD and REVIT.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design Lifecycle Leadership: Lead the Design Development and Construction Documentation phases for diverse projects across various sectors.
  • Technical Design Supervision: Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, and General Contractors to ensure all structural and MEP requirements are integrated into the design.
  • Custom Fabrication Oversight: Direct the design and specification of complex systems, including custom millwork fabrication and industrial kitchen equipment packages.
  • Innovation & Efficiency: Partner with the SVP of Design & Innovation to implement leading-edge technology and ensure project objectives meet high-level financial and aesthetic expectations.
  • Strategic Coordination: Work closely with Project Managers to ensure design intent is maintained throughout the critical path and mitigate delays in high-security or complex environments.
  • Quality & Sustainability: Oversee the final design review process to ensure all plans meet safety standards, operational project criteria, and LEED/WELL practices.
