About The Position

We’re looking for a Senior FP&A professional to help Rewind make better, faster, and more confident financial decisions as we scale our SaaS business. This is a highly visible role for someone who operates independently, partners closely with C-level leaders, and brings structure, insight, and financial rigor to complex questions. You’ll act as a trusted advisor across the company—owning core forecasting and reporting, shaping how we evaluate investments, and translating data into clear recommendations. You’ll also play a hands-on role in evolving our FP&A function, improving how we plan, measure performance, and use automation to work smarter. This role is well-suited for someone who enjoys ambiguity, is comfortable being uncomfortable, and wants to influence outcomes—not just report on them.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance, with meaningful hands-on ownership in FP&A.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting fundamentals, and SaaS business models.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior and executive stakeholders to influence decisions.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills; comfort working with large datasets and financial systems.
  • Clear communication skills—you can turn numbers into insight and insight into action.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and move projects forward with minimal direction.
  • Curiosity about automation and AI, with a practical mindset for applying new tools.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CFA, or similar designation.
  • Experience with FP&A or planning tools (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Mosaic) and BI tools.
  • Prior experience in a scaling SaaS or subscription-based business.
  • Exposure to Board-level or investor reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Financial planning, forecasting & modeling
  • Own and continuously improve Rewind’s short- and long-term financial models, including annual planning, rolling forecasts, and scenario analysis.
  • Evaluate trade-offs and risks to support decisions around growth, hiring, pricing, and investment.
  • Ensure models are accurate, scalable, and aligned with how the business actually operates.
  • Executive & C-level partnership
  • Act as a strategic finance partner to senior leaders across functions (e.g., Sales, Product, Marketing, People, Data) and C-level executives
  • Provide clear financial perspectives that influence decisions, priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Support leadership and Board discussions with concise, decision-oriented materials.
  • Reporting, insights & storytelling
  • Build and deliver monthly and quarterly reporting packages that highlight performance, trends, and variances.
  • Translate complex financial and SaaS metrics into clear narratives tailored to executive and non-financial audiences.
  • Bring forward insights proactively, not just answers to questions that are asked.
  • SaaS metrics & performance analysis
  • Own key SaaS KPIs (e.g., ARR, NRR, LTV/CAC, payback, churn) and ensure consistent definitions and visibility.
  • Analyze revenue drivers, customer behavior, and unit economics to inform strategy and goal-setting.
  • Benchmark performance against peers and help leadership understand where to lean in—or pull back.
  • Process improvement & automation
  • Identify opportunities to improve FP&A processes, systems, and data flows to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Partner with Accounting, RevOps, and Data to reduce manual work and improve source-of-truth reporting.
  • Explore and apply AI-powered tools to forecasting, variance analysis, and insight generation.
  • Strategic projects & leadership
  • Lead ad hoc analyses and cross-functional initiatives such as pricing studies, headcount planning, and customer profitability analysis.
  • Informally mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a culture of accountability, learning, and trust.
