We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Senior Interior Designer to join a highly collaborative and dynamic team with opportunities for growth. The ideal individual will have 10-15+ years of experience and is a self-starter with strong design skills. Professionals with experience in workplace interiors projects are encouraged to apply. As a Senior Interior Designer on the Perkins+Will team, you will: Lead design efforts and project teams including design direction and client engagement for marquee workplace projects Design and coordinate detailed design concepts, assist with design and technical coordination among disciplines, and respond to technical implications of design decisions Facilitate program development with project team Be responsible for project design budget, cost control, and schedule Prepare design presentations, assuming lead in client and owner presentations Coordinate contractors, consultants, and vendor assignments including integration of basic engineering systems in overall project design Direct, organize, and mentor junior staff with responsibility for oversight

Requirements

  • A professional degree in Interior Design, or related discipline
  • 10-15+ years of experience
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling, visualization, and graphic software; Revit strongly preferred
  • Strong design portfolio
  • Strong competency in interior design specifications, calculations and industry standards, and application of building codes and specifications
  • Ability to direct and coordinate work efforts of junior staff
  • Experience in all phases and aspects of a project
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills, attention to detail, and motivation to learn
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic
  • LEED AP or within 6 months of hire
  • NCIDQ licensure
