About The Position

The Senior Manager, Clinical Inpatient Applications is responsible for supporting and coordinating efforts for the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of hospital workflows related to outpatient management within Epic's healthcare software system. The Epic Senior Manager Inpatient Clinical role is a full time role that will require flexibility of schedules of working hours. Hours may be subject to change to support the application during upgrades and on call.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy Healthcare Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Computer Systems, or other related field.
  • Experience working on medium to large size projects of 500-1000+ hours
  • Experience working in a Healthcare environment
  • Three (3) to five (5) years progressively responsible experience in information applications, including one year performing programming or applications analysis, or equivalent is required.
  • Certificates in Epic Inpatient / Outpatient Clinical Modules (ex. Clinical Documentation, Orders)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member across multiple teams
  • Ability to independently research and perform analysis to resolve complex issues
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to manage one's own work independently in a fast --paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Must be able to maintain professionalism and react to customers appropriately while exhibiting the highest level of customer service
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Work PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrates ability to develop complex specifications for all aspects of applications, and familiarity with problem analysis, hardware/software configurations and application integration
  • Requires knowledge of the client areas function and systems, technology alternatives, and ability to work effectively with client and Information Technology management and staff.
  • Knowledge of applications security and control procedures in accordance with departmental, vendor standards and regulatory bodies.

  • New York Licensed Practical Nurse / Registered Nurse or equivalent-- HIGHLY PREFERRED
