  • Ability to operate and manage digital product development projects at all stages of the product development lifecycle.
  • Software change request management the ability to manage software product change requests from customers, prospective customers, vendors, and internal staff.
  • Digital product business knowledge: knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision.
  • Proven experience leading global teams in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • A passion for building digital capabilities that transform how organizations operate.

Nice To Haves

  • experience and domain knowledge in supply planning, such as:
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP or ERP) systems
  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP, SIOP, or Integrated Business Planning)
  • Capacity Planning methodologies, such as Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP)
  • Relevant supply planning technology platforms such as e2open, Blue Yonder, o9 Solutions, Kinaxis, or similar
  • APICS CSCP certification or similar

Responsibilities

  • Lead Global Digital Product Strategy & Execution
  • Oversee a global team of Digital Product Owners and Regional Deployment Leads, ensuring alignment to product vision, business priorities, and enterprise outcomes.
  • Guide the development and deployment of Caterpillar’s Network Planning & Execution suite of digital products, enhancing end‑to‑end demand and supply alignment across the enterprise.
  • Build, refine, and execute the digital product roadmap—accelerating capability delivery while meeting cost, quality, and timeline commitments.
  • Lead a global digital product organization, including seven direct reports, providing coaching, performance management, and strategic direction.
  • Drive Product Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner closely with operations to monitor product performance, adoption, and value creation.
  • Analyze user feedback, operational data, and business needs to prioritize enhancements, resolve issues, and shape new features.
  • Establish and maintain clear reporting on product quality, usage, and business impact.
  • Champion Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work with business process owners, procurement, supply chain leadership, and other stakeholders to position, promote, and scale digital capabilities across the organization.
  • Coordinate with IT and external technology partners to deliver new releases and features on schedule and within budget.
  • Ensure seamless integration of digital tools into business processes, driving engagement and long‑term adoption.
