The Implementations Team supports CVS Caremark, the nation’s leading pharmacy benefit manager (PBM). Implementation Managers play a critical role in onboarding new clients, ensuring their prescription benefits are active on day one. They also manage offboarding clients, adding new lines of business and implementing plan changes. Given the complexities of today’s PBM landscape, setting up a new client involves managing financial, product, and operational components across CVS Caremark. Implementation Managers coordinate with 20+ functional areas to track progress and ensure seamless execution. Position Summary: As Senior Manager, Implementations, you are the driving force behind a high-performing team that owns every aspect of the implementation process. You coach and develop your implementation managers—setting clear expectations for timeliness, quality, and accountability—while fostering a culture where colleagues take full ownership of their implementations. You actively guide your team, stepping in to resolve challenges and remove barriers when needed, ensuring commitments are met and clients’ needs are exceeded. Your leadership blends hands-on support with strategic oversight, connecting daily execution to broader business goals. You are accountable for innovating new ways to streamline processes and improve outcomes—constantly seeking opportunities to enhance efficiency, elevate client experience, and deliver measurable results. By modeling a growth mindset and championing continuous learning, you empower your team to deliver results, adapt to change, and consistently raise the bar for performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of client relationship management experience, with proven client implementation and project management experience, within a healthcare/PBM, account services, customer service, non-IT client implementations, or related industry
  • 7 + years of relevant work experience
  • Future travel to client meetings or onsite training may be required – 10-25% depending on specific role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee direct and/or dotted-line team members to ensure high-quality, consistent outcomes
  • Manage client implementation activities and support team members across multiple locations and lines of business
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentorship, with formal performance management as needed
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, standard operation procedures, projects, training, and tool development
  • Ensure contractual compliance, manage organizational risks, resolve escalations, and support sales activities
  • Work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional departments
  • Exhibit our CVS Heart at Work Behaviors on a day-to-day basis
