About The Position

The Senior Manager, Internal Communications is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that inform, engage, and inspire employees. The role will collaborate closely with HR, Marketing, Legal, and Investor Relations to ensure consistent storytelling for employees, prospective candidates, and stakeholders. It also provides expert counsel to leadership and manages key internal communication platforms and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • 8–12+ years of experience in internal, executive, or corporate communications.
  • Proven leadership of company-wide communications and engagement programs.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to simplify complex information and effective storytelling approaches.
  • Strong executive presence, judgment, discretion.
  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, collaboration tools and intranet management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute internal communications strategy aligned with company priorities.
  • Translate strategy, performance, and change into clear employee communications.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar with engaging content across internal channels.
  • Support employer brand strategy in partnership with HR and Marketing.
  • Develop internal narrative to activate the employer value proposition (EVP).
  • Collaborate on internal communications related to reputation management and public relations.
  • Advise senior leaders on communication approaches and timing.
  • Develop and maintain internal communication protocols.
  • Identify and develop internal communication channels to enhance employee experience, including for hourly employees between shifts and with supervisors.
  • Own governance and management of the company intranet (Dog Park), ensuring content is current, engaging and well-organized.
  • Lead planning and execution of company town halls and business meetings to reinforce priorities and build trust.
  • Partner with CEO and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) to shape agendas and messaging.
  • Coordinate speakers, content, logistics, and technology.
  • Oversee company-wide events and cultural initiatives.
  • Ensure events reinforce company values, strategy, and leadership credibility.
  • Manage vendors, timelines, and budgets.
  • Support leadership governance rhythms related to communications and events.
  • Monitor trends, analyze performance metrics, and recommend improvements to communication effectiveness.
