About The Position

As the Sr. Manager of Consumer Products, Licensing & Merchandising, you will be a key player on our licensing-out team, driving growth and strategy for Spin Master’s iconic brands across Hardlines, Toys, and Digital Games. You will identify and secure best-in-class partners, transforming our intellectual property into innovative products and scalable programs that expand our brand presence and deliver revenue. Requirements

  • A strategic, commercially minded professional passionate about product and entertainment.
  • An entrepreneurial self-starter skilled at building relationships and influencing partners.
  • A strong negotiator with robust financial acumen and P&L management experience.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in complex organizations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in consumer products licensing, with a focus on outbound licensing and brand management.
  • Proven record of negotiating and managing complex licensing agreements while meeting or exceeding financial goals.
  • Deep understanding of the licensing lifecycle, from strategy and deal-making to product development and retail execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct entertainment and/or licensing experience managing Hardlines, Toys, or Digital Games categories (strongly preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy for the Hardlines, Toys, and Digital Games categories, developing and executing long-term plans aligned with franchise and content strategies.
  • Drive business development by identifying, pitching, and negotiating licensing deals with prospective partners to fill market gaps and capitalize on emerging trends.
  • Manage and cultivate licensee relationships, serving as the primary contact to grow their business and ensure brand integrity.
  • Lead the complete deal-making process, including term negotiation, financial due diligence, and contract execution with legal and finance partners.
  • Own category financials by preparing quarterly revenue forecasts, managing budgets, and analyzing sales performance to meet growth and revenue targets.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Franchise, Marketing, and Retail Business Development to build cohesive, 360-degree brand programs.
  • Provide market and industry insights, monitoring consumer trends, competitive activity, and retail dynamics to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
  • Partner with product development, guiding licensees from concept to final approval to ensure merchandise is compelling, innovative, and on-brand.
  • Support retail initiatives, ensuring licensed products are showcased in key promotions and seasonal opportunities at major retailers.
