About The Position

As the Senior Manager of Consumer Insights, you use research, guest information, industry data, and business analytics to translate facts into actionable insights. In this role, you partner with key business leaders to develop guest-centric strategies by bringing together behavioral insights, consumer data, research, and analytics to drive stronger marketing, menu, and operational decisions at Noodles & Company. You lead both the guest analytics function and the strategic consumer insights roadmap, managing at least one direct report and collaborating closely with teams across marketing, culinary, digital, finance, technology, and operations. The ideal candidate brings a balance of analytical rigor and storytelling finesse, comfortable using both qualitative and quantitative insights to shape business strategies, elevate the voice of the guest, and lead a high-performing team focused on building a deeper understanding of what drives guest satisfaction, frequency, and long-term value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Marketing, Finance, Mathematics, IT, or related fields is preferred, or equivalent practical experience in analytics.
  • 8+ years of experience in consumer research, analytics, or insights, ideally within restaurant, retail, or CPG environments.
  • 3+ years of experience leading a consumer insights team with a demonstrated ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Strong foundation and experience developing both quantitative analysis and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Extensive experience in retail consumer business, food service experience including menu development and analytics.
  • Ability to think strategically, translate business needs into insights roadmaps, and lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Proven ability to identify the most important insights, see patterns, and provide guidance to key stakeholders.
  • Skilled in storytelling and executive communication, capable of delivering insights that drive action.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Excel, survey platforms, and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong project management, organization, and collaboration skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple projects, setting priorities, and ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Curious mindset, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Set research and analysis roadmaps in partnership with executive and cross-functional leaders.
  • Use customer data to uncover behavioral trends, identify loyalty drivers, and develop segmentation strategies that support targeted marketing and guest engagement.
  • Apply clustering, regression, and other statistical techniques to understand customer lifecycle, visit frequency, and value.
  • Work with culinary and marketing leadership to develop and maintain a differentiated, compelling, and profitable menu including limited time offerings and promotions.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of dashboards and reports that track KPIs tied to campaign performance, brand health, and customer satisfaction.
  • Translate business questions into testable hypotheses and strategic research projects—both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design, field, and analyze research studies focused on marketing optimization, menu innovation, and operations.
  • Lead competitive benchmarking, experience research, and strategic feedback collection to ensure Noodles maintains a strong understanding of evolving guest expectations.
  • Oversee management of the guest experience platform, including executive reporting and self-service tools.
  • Serve as a thought partner to cross-functional leaders by providing clear, actionable recommendations grounded in data and insights.
  • Produce compelling presentations and visualizations to communicate findings to executives, marketers, operators, and culinary leaders.
  • Collaborate with other insights leaders to build a unified and actionable view of guest sentiment, behavior, and feedback across all touchpoints.
  • Lead marketing insights, analytics efforts, and promotional/media evaluation, while managing and developing one or more direct reports.
  • Guide team workflows, coach team members in both analytical thinking and communication, and ensure delivery of high-quality insights that align with business priorities.
