About The Position

The Senior Manager, Omnichannel Strategy and Execution is designed to accelerate Hormel Foods’ digital commerce performance by leading the strategy, activation, and optimization of our ecommerce business across Kroger and Albertsons. This role is responsible for driving online sales growth, elevating digital shelf presence, and strengthening the connection between digital and in‑store experiences within two of the nation’s largest grocery retailers. This leader will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, analytics, and Kroger/Albertsons digital commerce teams to deliver data‑driven strategies that enhance customer engagement and fuel revenue. The position requires a blend of strategic vision and hands‑on execution, with deep expertise in digital merchandising, retail media, and omnichannel activation. Familiarity with Kroger Precision Marketing (KPM), Albertsons Media Collective, and retailer‑specific ecommerce platforms is essential. This position will report to the Associate Vice President of Sales for Kroger/Albertsons.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in ecommerce, digital sales, or omnichannel strategy, preferably in CPG or retail.
  • Proven success managing retail.com platforms (Kroger, Albertsons, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of retail media networks, including KPM and Albertsons Media Collective.
  • Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and familiarity with predictive analytics.
  • Experience with content optimization, SEO/SEM, and retail search strategies.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead ecommerce sales strategy and execution to drive online growth across Kroger and Albertsons.
  • Develop and execute omnichannel strategies aligned with Hormel Foods’ growth objectives and retailer‑specific digital ecosystems.
  • Serve as an internal consultant, guiding teams on digital commerce best practices.
  • Leverage retailer‑specific ecommerce data platforms to identify trends, diagnose performance, and share insights internally and externally.
  • Define KPIs for Kroger and Albertsons ecommerce performance, including sales, share of search, and conversion metrics.
  • Use BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) to visualize performance and communicate insights to leadership.
  • Partner with analytics teams to run predictive models, A/B tests, and test‑and‑learn programs.
  • Manage online assortment and digital shelf accuracy across Kroger and Albertsons platforms.
  • Collaborate with marketing, media, and content teams to optimize product listings, imagery, and enhanced content.
  • Apply AI‑enabled tools to optimize content, targeting, and personalization.
  • Own the relationship with Kroger Precision Marketing (KPM) and Albertsons Media Collective.
  • Manage activation across retail media networks and paid search to maximize visibility and conversion.
  • Ensure seamless coordination between Hormel Foods’ internal teams and retailer digital ecosystems.
  • Partner with Hormel’s Kroger and Albertsons Sales Teams to embed ecommerce strategy into Innovation Meetings, Line Reviews, JBPs, and other key sales touchpoints.
  • Communicate ecommerce results and strategic recommendations to Kroger and Albertsons merchants and digital leaders.
  • Drive change and performance improvements across ecommerce‑specific items, fulfillment operations, and delivery/ship‑to‑home capabilities.
