About The Position

The Senior Manager, Product Marketing owns the strategy and execution of amika’s commercial innovation programs across the global product portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of product marketing, commercial strategy, and brand storytelling, translating portfolio priorities into high-impact commercial programs that drive brand equity and business growth. The Senior Manager will own the development of commercial innovation initiatives including promotional and evergreen sets, holiday programs, sizing strategies, GWPs, merchandise, and brand collaborations, ensuring each program supports broader product and franchise priorities. This role will play a key role in shaping and executing amika’s annual holiday commercial strategy, one of the brand’s most important global retail moments. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, this role partners cross-functionally with Sales, Trade Marketing, Operations, Product Development, Regulatory, Brand Marketing, Creative, and Finance to shepherd programs from concept through launch with excellence and consistency. The Senior Manager reports to the Director of Global Product Marketing

Requirements

  • 6–8 years relevant experience in product marketing, brand management, or commercial strategy, with demonstrated experience owning cross-functional commercial or GTM initiatives; beauty experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading commercial programs such as sets, limited editions, collaborations, sizing strategies, or merchandising initiatives.
  • A strong product and brand thinker who understands how commercial programs reinforce portfolio priorities and franchise growth.
  • Confident influencing and aligning senior cross-functional stakeholders, with the ability to challenge thinking and drive decisions forward.
  • Highly collaborative and excel at partnering across Product Development, Brand Marketing, Creative, Sales, Operations, Regulatory, and Finance.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Analytical and comfortable interpreting commercial and market data to inform decision-making.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and proactively brings structure to ambiguity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy and development of commercial innovation programs across amika’s product portfolio, including promotional and evergreen sets, holiday programs, sizing strategies, GWPs, merchandise, and brand collaborations.
  • Own end-to-end strategy and execution of amika’s global holiday commercial program – one of the brand’s most critical revenue and brand-building moments – including assortment, pricing architecture, and channel strategy.
  • Act as a key decision-maker in defining commercial strategies, including assortment architecture, pricing frameworks, and channel-specific program design.
  • Develop channel-specific commercial strategies across key partners (Sephora, Ulta, DTC, Amazon, and international markets), tailoring programs to retailer and regional dynamics.
  • Identify and develop commercial innovation opportunities grounded in consumer insights, market dynamics, and portfolio priorities to drive franchise growth and incremental revenue.
  • Own concept development for commercial initiatives, translating brand and product priorities into compelling program concepts and narratives.
  • Partner with Sales, Planning, and Finance to support business sizing, channel strategy, and commercial viability for proposed programs.
  • Ensure commercial innovation initiatives reinforce key product launches, franchises, and broader portfolio priorities.
  • Drive cross-functional development of commercial innovation initiatives from concept through launch, ensuring alignment across Sales, Trade Marketing, Operations, Brand Marketing, Creative, and Finance.
  • Drive timelines, workflows, and deliverables for commercial programs, ensuring cross-functional teams remain aligned and initiatives are delivered successfully.
  • Define and lead development of clear kickoff materials and strategic documentation that articulate program objectives, concept rationale, product assortment, pricing strategy, and commercial goals.
  • Guide Creative and Brand Marketing to ensure commercial initiatives reflect amika’s brand equity and deliver compelling storytelling across consumer and stylist touchpoints.
  • Oversee packaging and artwork development for commercial programs, coordinating cross-functional approvals and ensuring compliance and on-time delivery across markets.
  • Partner closely with Category Product Marketing leads to ensure commercial innovation initiatives align with broader product portfolio priorities, franchise strategies, and the global launch calendar.
  • Collaborate with Category Product Marketing teams to identify commercial opportunities that support or extend core product launches and franchise growth. Partner on initiatives that originate within category strategies and transition into commercial innovation development and execution.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of amika’s product portfolio, franchise priorities, and innovation pipeline to ensure commercial programs reinforce broader brand and business objectives.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Brand Marketing, Creative, Sales, Operations, Regulatory, and Finance to ensure commercial initiatives support overall portfolio strategy and deliver cohesive product storytelling across channels.
  • Ensure commercial innovation programs are fully integrated into GTM planning, with clear roles across Product Marketing, Brand, and Commercial teams to drive successful in-market execution.
  • Own performance outcomes for commercial innovation programs, including revenue, margin, and sell-through, and lead post-mortems to inform future strategy.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of commercial innovation programs across retail, pro, and digital channels to identify opportunities for optimization and future growth.
  • Synthesize commercial, consumer, and competitive insights to inform future program development and strengthen commercial innovation strategy.
  • Conduct competitive scans and trend tracking across categories and channels to identify whitespace and emerging consumer needs.
  • Partner with Finance and Planning to evaluate program performance and inform future assortment and pricing decisions.
