About The Position

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent; Bachelorâs degree in Business, Logistics, Transportation Management, or related field preferred.
7â10 years of transportation or logistics industry experience, with a solid understanding of supply chain principles.
Experience managing teams, coaching employees, and driving operational performance.
Proficiency with routing software, telematics, and fleet management systems.
Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret transportation data and implement improvements.
Excellent problem-solving, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel as needed for on-site hiring, training, and coaching.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage transportation operations, including hub-and-spoke network design, fleet, and driver management.
Oversee delivery processes, inter-departmental transfers, and logistics software to ensure seamless operations.
Train and develop drivers and operations staff, promoting adherence to compliance, safety, and licensing standards.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules to maintain vehicle reliability and longevity.
Monitor and measure transportation performance, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and maintain high on-time delivery rates.
Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
Partner with vendors to ensure contracts, pricing, and service levels meet operational needs.
Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain high customer satisfaction.
