About The Position

As a Senior Marketing Associate, you are a highly motivated and strategic individual with strong interpersonal skills, who supports Avison Young’s marketing and business development efforts in Georgia, South Carolina, and Raleigh, NC. You can manage a high-volume of projects in a fast-paced environment, have solid design skills and enjoy an entrepreneurial environment where strategic and proactive solutions are celebrated and rewarded. This specific role supports the brokerage operations with marketing, graphics, research, and communications. You will support the strategy and production of campaigns that drive our marketing and communications goals. You’ll also build and sustain a strong relationship with our Markets Intelligence team, sales teams, and business leaders while you focus on quality control and process improvements. Integrity and resourcefulness are essential for this position.

Requirements

  • You have at least 4-7 years of experience working in a corporate environment, real estate experience may be a plus but is not necessary
  • You are skilled with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); and expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • As a creative thinker, you understand graphic design, print and web applications
  • You thrive under pressure and are comfortable with tight deadlines
  • You are self-motivated and can prioritize and manage multiple projects with little guidance; you work effectively both independently and in teams
  • You have excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • You are a proficient writer with the ability to adapt tone, voice and style to meet established needs, and strong verbal communications skills
  • You understand business objectives and can translate them to effective marketing messages
  • You have a college degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or other related field, or five years of relevant marketing experience in a corporate environment

Responsibilities

  • Edit and create a high volume of marketing materials including but not limited to brochures, flyers, newsletters, invitations, banners, proposals and presentations
  • Manage the RFP response/proposal development process; includes assessing requirements, acquiring content from subject matter experts and team members, formulating clear and effective responses and complying with all RFP requirements
  • Drive the presentation development process; includes synthesizing a high volume of stakeholder inputs, defining a story framework, mapping content to key messages and directing data visualization
  • Develop compelling, high impact content (written, video and graphics) across multiple channels ensuring it is purposeful and tailored for target audiences
  • Create or coordinate the creation of custom maps, site plans and building stack plans for use in proposals and presentations
  • Act as ambassador of the firm’s brand voice and visual brand standards
  • In partnership with brokers and graphic designers, create and manage property marketing programs, custom deliverables and campaigns
  • Collaborate with graphic designers in the development of custom design work, maintain vendor relations, video content creation and distribution, as needed
  • Manage and maintain the market/region’s graphic files, including the firms’ stock and custom created photos and illustrations
  • Collaborate with the Market Intelligence team on market reports and newsletters; statistical graphs, charts and tables; white papers and presentations
  • Collaborate with the PR/communications team on developing media-worthy content, eg. new hires, closed deals, research reports, market specific and regional news, trends and stories
  • Champion the use of Avison Young’s new technology and innovation initiatives within the marketing organization and ensure adoption in the local market; commitment to evolve skills with changing needs
  • Participate in the firm’s strategic marketing and communications best practices meetings, conference calls and strategy sessions
