About The Position

Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Senior Oncology Institute Coordinator to join our Research and Education team! Position Summary: Provides a broad and varying range of complex operational support to contribute to the success of Institute departments. Coordinates planning, development and implementation of projects related to a specific department or cost center. Facilitates and supports all aspects of day-to-day, recurring and/or program-based tasks required for areas to operate efficiently and effectively. Anticipates and responds to needs of department. With leadership, develops processes for improving operations. Independently coordinates work between management, staff, customers, and vendors to successfully compete projects on time and on budget. Provides updates to management on status of programs and budgets. Provides work direction and mentoring for coordinators and support staff. This role provides operational and administrative support to the team conducting clinical cancer research through the Metro-Minnesota Community Oncology Research Program (MMCORC). MMCORC is a consortium of 25 community hospitals and clinics and more than 160 physicians across the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro area, offering patients and providers access to National Cancer Institute (NCI) and pharmaceutical-sponsored clinical trials for a broad range of adult cancers. This is not a patient-facing role. The position is based in the central administrative office and provides primary support to site nurses and clinical research coordinators across the MMCORC member locations. Research Coordinators support the day‑to‑day implementation and conduct of oncology research studies.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years of experience in the field.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, Internet, printers, telephones, fax, scan, copy machines and audio-visual equipment.
  • Excellent organizational/project management skills; attention to detail a must.
  • Must have experience handling confidential information.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participant recruitment, eligibility screening, enrollment, and scheduling
  • Data collection, data entry, data cleaning, and report generation
  • Conducting patient interviews, obtaining informed consent, and collecting surveys
  • Managing study-related reimbursements and summarizing data for reporting
  • Maintaining study documentation and assisting with writing or preparing materials for submission to review committees
  • Navigating and utilizing multiple electronic systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, Epic, Clinical Trial Management Systems)
  • Supporting and maintaining member webpage postings; experience with modern SharePoint platforms is beneficial
  • Maintaining subject databases, including centralized screening using the electronic health record to identify potential research participants
  • Answering the main phone line during core business hours
  • Coordinating and distributing daily team announcements
  • Preparing monthly reports and archiving study materials
