About The Position

The Senior Platform Engineer will lead the implementation processes and procedures around development operations (DevOps), development security operations (DevSecOps), application reliability and security, and monitoring and observability (including assisting teams when troubleshooting is needed). Collaborate in person and/or online to ensure solutions are simple and deliver value. Drive improvements to efficiency, quality, and velocity of the team and should stay current with new languages/frameworks as needed by each ongoing development projects. This person will also perform reviews of Infrastructure as Code and provide feedback to ensure strong coding practices.

Requirements

• 3 or more years experience working with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Octopus Deploy, and related and similar tools to streamline DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines.
• 3 or more years of experience working with Kubernetes (preferably AWS EKS), Helm, Terraform/OpenTofu, etc.
• 3 or more years experience working with observability platforms (Grafana is strongly preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact in a team environment
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
• 3 or more years of experience implementing and maintaining DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines.
• 3 or more years of experience implementing and maintaining observability, monitoring, and alerting systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and collaborate with infrastructure and software engineering teams to ensure architecture and design decisions are secure, scalable, and reliable.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and software engineering teams to develop and maintain Terraform/OpenTofu code and related DevOps pipelines.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and software engineer teams to develop, modernize, and maintain observability, monitoring, and alerting via Grafana.
• Work independently on projects or as part of a team
• Work with the team to estimate tasks, design and implement solution
• Provide architectural guidance during the design phase.
