Overview Responsible for enhancing Fulton Bank's ability to provide SBA guaranteed loans by minimizing credit and guaranty risk. In charge of making credit recommendations for line renewals and risk ratings, and ultimately responsible for the loan relationship strategy. Coordinate the management of troubled borrowers and supervise the SBA credit analysis process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience.
  • Specialty: finance, economics, business administration.
  • 8 or more years knowledge of Commercial or Small Business Administration credit experience.
  • FInancial alalysis/credit skills.

Nice To Haves

  • 10 or more years banking experience.
  • Knowledge of Small Business Administration standard operating procedures.
  • Small Business Administration loan program experience.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to actively monitor the SBA portfolio quality of assigned commercial business credit relationships including gathering, analyzing, and underwriting all business and personal financial data collected for the purpose of extending, amending, reviewing and monitoring SBA commercial credit facilities for the most complex and high valued loans and maintain direct contact with clients in the management of these relationships.
  • Provide credit management support to SBA Dept. RMs including Watchlist reporting, AQR packages, and loan review interaction. Expect to liaise between all parties to ensure timely and efficient analysis that meets the expectations of the Borrowers, Relationship Managers and Credit Officers.
  • Support in the training and growth of less experienced SBA portfolio managers by reviewing credit and borrower servicing recommendations and coordinating meetings with PM staff, RMs, and borrowers.
  • Assume primary responsibility as a liaison on more complex defaulted loan situations by coordinating collection efforts between Special Assets and the SBA while ensuring the Bank's actions comply with the Small Business Administration's Servicing and Liquidation Standard Operating Procedures to ensure preservation of the SBA guaranty and maximize the Banks's recovery efforts.
  • Provide credit management support to team leader and maintain oversight to key portfolio activities.
  • Take the lead in coordinating Bank's response to key elements of the Small Business Administration's risk-based reviews.
  • Actively engage in the guaranty purchase process and reporting to the Small Business Administration.
  • Monitor and assess the loan portfolio for performance trends.
  • Review and update loan system information to ensure accuracy.
  • Actively review and analyze loan data from the Small Business Administration's loan portal.
  • This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager.
