About The Position

ASSYST is seeking a skilled Senior Power BI Developer to support our client in Austin, TX on the SCOR EI initiative, this is Hybrid position on Contract role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for enhancing reporting capabilities, supporting application updates, and maintaining system data models. This role involves working closely with development teams to update business logic, improve user interfaces, and extend reporting solutions using Power BI. The candidate will also support application maintenance, defect resolution, testing, and documentation across multiple environments while ensuring adherence to coding standards, security policies, and quality assurance practices.

Requirements

8+ years of experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI.
8+ years of experience writing advanced SQL queries for relational databases.
8+ years of experience developing RESTful web services using the Spring framework.
8+ years of experience in JUnit and unit test development.
4+ years of experience with the Angular UI framework.
4+ years of experience working with Crystal Reports.

Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
Write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases to support reporting and analytics needs.
Extend and integrate reporting capabilities within enterprise applications and system data models.
Support updates to business logic and user interface components within Java-based applications.
Develop and maintain RESTful web services using the Spring platform.
Perform unit testing using JUnit, ensuring high code quality and coverage.
Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and defect root cause analysis.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
Support application deployments and maintenance across multiple environments.
Ensure compliance with security policies, coding standards, and testing procedures.
Provide on-call support as required and assist with operational support activities.
Perform other duties as assigned to support project and operational needs.
