Market Development Department The Market Development (MD) team is responsible for 4 key functions within the North American business: 1) Market Strategy, 2) Site Selection & Acquisition, 3) New Site Development and 4) Preconstruction. The team drives the business plans and execution of our geographic and vertical market expansions across North America. We are at the front-end of the process of ensuring we have the critical capacity required to meet the evolving requirements of our wholesale and hyperscale customer base. We evaluate supply, demand, pricing, network, power, and a myriad of other factors when developing our market and site plans. We then acquire sites that align with those plans. The team collaborates with Commercial Management, Sales, Solution Engineering, Design Engineering, Construction, Operations, Finance, and Senior Management along the way. We also help ensure optimal revenue realization post-construction through development of commercial constructs and pricing that aligns to the objectives of both Vantage and our customers. Position Overview This role can be based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Santa Clara, CA; Columbus, Ohio, Atlanta, Georgia; or Ashburn, VA in alignment with our flexible work policy (3 days onsite required, 2 days flexible). Vantage is looking for an diligent and driven hands-on Senior Construction Scheduler to drive overall project schedule durations at a programmatic level to be used across the company portfolio. You will join the Preconstruction team in providing professional scheduling capabilities and enable Vantage’s ability to profoundly affect speed to market. You will be responsible for creating schedules through the development stage of the project lifecycle and be expected to identify ways to integrate several workstream fragnet schedules to align to a single integrated delivery schedule

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or relevant functional discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7-10 years related work experience
  • Understand the Critical Path Method of scheduling theoretically and as it applies to projects
  • Expert knowledge of Primavera Scheduling Software (P6, latest Version) and MS Project
  • Extensive experience using ProCore & PowerBI strongly preferred
  • Experience creating schedule risk matrix and then applying those risks in a Monte Carlo style analysis preferred
  • Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, contracts/general conditions) at all levels of design
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office software tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Word
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 20% based on business needs

Nice To Haves

  • Data Center experience is strongly preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Generate, update, and maintain project specific integrated delivery schedules
  • Work with peer groups to incorporate feedback on product, market, and site specific factors to create a detailed due diligence schedule to support land acquisition, leasing, and major capitol expenditure
  • Responsible for developing policies and procedures for scheduling with peer departments
  • Prepare conceptual and detailed schedules for multiple user groups
  • Contribute to the development of planning and sequencing of activities
  • Define activities and associated scope, duration, logic, and interface between activities and resource loading of those activities
  • Develop P6 cloud training guidelines and roll out to teams.
  • Create, review, and analyze critical path schedules independently, in an efficient and comprehensive manner
  • Represent a realistic and feasible planning approach for our main internal customers - New Site Development, Construction, and Energy
  • Develop schedule variance analysis, including running schedule risk scenarios based on Monte Carlo and other risk analysis
  • Iterate on project development scenarios
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project’s goals (verbal, written, graphically)
  • Develop data analysis for Development Schedules and issue schedule reports required by management and project procedures
  • Understand principles of cost estimating and productivity in establishing schedule parameters (duration, resource loading, etc.)
  • Investigate and incorporate project constraints in planning effort
  • Work with vertical peers focusing on continuous improvement to our business process
  • Additional duties as assigned by Management
