About The Position

The Senior Project Coordinator will play a key role in supporting leadership development among third- and fourth-year students by identifying, cataloging, and curating a comprehensive list of leadership opportunities across campus and beyond. This individual will also support the design of a reflective seminar experience that enables students to meaningfully integrate and articulate their leadership journeys. Additionally, this individual will facilitate meetings with students to acquire student feedback on ongoing projects. The Senior Project Coordinator will also assist with the planning and implementation of events and field trips.

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • 0-3 years of experience

Responsibilities

  • Functional Area - Leadership Opportunity Mapping: Research and compile an up-to-date inventory of formal and informal leadership opportunities available to upper-division students (e.g., student organizations, internships, research roles, community engagement projects, campus employment). Collaborate with faculty, staff, and student organizations to ensure comprehensive coverage of opportunities across disciplines and co-curricular domains.
  • Functional Area - Seminar Development & Support: Assist in the design of a seminar or capstone experience that helps students reflect on their leadership development. Brainstorm and recommend creative formats for student reflection (e.g., portfolios, storytelling, guided discussions, e-portfolios, peer facilitation). Support logistics and materials preparation for the seminar, including session planning and assessment tools.
  • Functional Area - Student Engagement & Outreach: Help develop communication tools (e.g., newsletters, webpages, infographics) to share leadership pathways and seminar information with students. Facilitate meetings with students to acquire student feedback on ongoing projects. Other duties as assigned.
  • Recommends initiatives and implements changes to improve quality and services.
  • Identifies and determines cause of problems; develops and presents recommendations for improvement of established processes and practices.
  • Maintains contact with students and faculty and solicits feedback for improved services.
  • Researches and develops resources that create timely and efficient workflow.
  • Prepares progress reports; informs supervisor of project status; and deviation from goals. Ensures completeness, accuracy and timeliness of all operational functions.
  • Prepares and submits reports as requested and required.
