About The Position

Senior Project Manager – DHS Programs Constellation is seeking a Senior Project Manager – DHS Programs to oversee high-priority initiatives from start to finish, ensuring precision, timeliness, and alignment with overall program goals. This role is responsible for managing complex taskings, deliverables, and escalations while aligning project direction across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management discipline with the delivery and compliance standards required in a federal contracting environment. As a senior leader, you will oversee critical taskings and serve as the bridge between executive strategy and day-to-day execution.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of program or project management experience
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities
  • Strong knowledge of workflow and process optimization
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, or similar)
  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to pass a client agency background investigation
  • DHS clearance with CBP/ICE or DoD Top Secret preferred

Nice To Haves

  • PMP or Agile certification (e.g., Scrum Master)
  • Experience supporting federal programs or mission-critical operations
  • Experience with DHS acquisition, financial, or IT modernization initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Delivery: Own the complete project lifecycle—from initiation and planning through successful execution. Establish priorities, maintain detailed project schedules, and ensure milestones and workflows are completed on time.
  • Project Monitoring & Oversight: Continuously assess project performance and health. Serve as the final quality checkpoint for deliverables, ensuring compliance with internal standards and contractual requirements.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead cross-functional teams to drive strong performance. Provide clear guidance, coach team members on best practices, and conduct performance evaluations to support successful outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders and internal partners to proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and manage complex project challenges.
  • Federal Compliance & Alignment: Ensure all project activities, documentation, and processes align with federal requirements and program objectives. Coordinate dependencies across workstreams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Program Reporting & Accountability: Deliver clear, consistent reporting on project status, resource allocation, and risk management to leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance project management methodologies and internal frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability across multiple initiatives.
