The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills: Under the general direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Material Review Board (MRB) Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and sustaining systemic parameters to streamline and maximize the effectiveness of the MRB process Lead the identification, processing, disposition, and communication of nonconforming material and associated MRB activities to ensure minimal impact on production schedules, and support material throughput throughout the facility Perform material movement transactions in the SAP system to identify and locate suspect or nonconforming material Perform manufacturing shop floor sweep activities to ensure accurate and comprehensive containment of suspect or nonconforming material is properly segregated and labeled from conforming material Coordinate MRB review meetings and dispositions within a cross-functional team to ensure the timely disposition and resolution of material Monitor and track MRB information within spreadsheets and databases, as well as action item commitments and due dates, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely completion of commitments and activities while achieving high levels of quality performance Support manufacturing operations, including quality trending and data analysis, and assist with containment initiatives Evaluate and trend root causes of scrap material and work with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to make systemic improvements to eliminate nonconformances Review Quality Notifications (QN’s) to provide recommended disposition to repairs, scrap, and return to vendor on nonconforming material. Coordinate temporary deviation requests to allow the use of alternate materials and processes to meet production demands Coordinate with applicable Engineering design sections/platform teams, Manufacturing, and Product Integrity personnel as required to resolve those technical issues and ensure that design integrity and design compatibility requirements are met Support additional quality assurance activities assigned Attend and participate in the weekly Flight Safety Process Review Board (FSPRB) Review and approve Frozen Process recommended changes Provide First Article Net-Inspect approvals Host DCMA during government source inspection audits
