Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience in a related field, or 4 years of technology solutions experience.
  • Travel (local) is expected 20+% of the time. In California, we will consider non-driving candidates who use alternate means of transportation in accordance with applicable law.
  • Excellent relationship building, written communication and presentation skills.
  • Adaptable and invested in continuous personal development.
  • Experience using Windows-based PCs, Microsoft Office and a CRM.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of telecommunications experience.
  • Salesforce CRM experience.
  • Completed certifications of the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) programs.
  • Certifications in cloud managed technology (DaaS, IaaS, Virtualization).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with prospective and existing customers, sales teams and vendors to assess and gather information on customer technology needs.
  • Partner with sales, network operations and engineering to develop proposals and verify solution feasibility and network availability.
  • Serve as a technical advisor in product development, providing insights to support the sales team’s understanding of new products.
  • Conduct vendor meetings, site surveys and coordinate technical resources for complex sales proposals and presentations.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance to customers, other members of the sales team and project managers to ensure smooth solution implementations and migrations.
  • Attend industry training to stay current on Cox Business and competitor solutions.
  • Partner with sales to develop accurate proposals, technical specifications and RFP responses, ensuring technical integrity.
  • Coach junior sales engineers on the team and provide guidance.
