Position Overview: The Senior Manager, East Region Sales will be responsible for overseeing a team of Account Managers and Junior Account Managers across designated geographical territories. This role is essential in driving Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and growth through effective leadership, strategy development, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management, with a strong focus on driving ARR and growth in a B2B environment.
  • 3-5 years of sales manager experience with verifiable results.
  • 5-8 years of SaaS sales or Medical Device sales, preferred.
  • Experience leading teams in a commission-based structure.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to inform strategy.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team to achieve high levels of performance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Managers and Junior Account Managers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving sales goals. Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and support to ensure team success.
  • Sales & Market Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to maximize ARR and growth within each territory, aligning with overall company objectives. Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and areas for improvement within the team’s territories.
  • Collaboration: Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, acting as the primary point of escalation for complex issues or opportunities. Work closely with customer service, marketing and product development, to align strategies and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for continuous improvement.
  • Commission Structure: Ensure the team understands and effectively leverages the commission-based structure to drive performance and motivation.
  • Continuous Improvement: Leverage the Fortive Business System (FBS) tools, such as funnel management, to streamline and standardize best practices across Landauer Sales. Apply ongoing continuous improvement lens to territory and seek to identify and solve problems that create barriers to growth.
