Senior Scientist, Discovery and Translational Development – Solid Biosciences Charlestown, MA Solid Biosciences is a precision genetic medicine company focused on advancing a portfolio of gene therapy candidates targeting rare neuromuscular and cardiac diseases, including Duchenne muscular dystrophy (Duchenne), Friedreich’s ataxia (FA), catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT), TNNT2-mediated dilated cardiomyopathy, BAG3-mediated dilated cardiomyopathy, and additional fatal, genetic cardiac diseases. The Senior Scientist will be a key contributor within the Discovery & Translational Development (DTD) group at Solid Biosciences, supporting the advancement of AAV-based gene therapy programs for neuromuscular diseases, with a primary focus on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). This role sits at the interface of discovery, translational science, and early development. The Senior Scientist will be responsible for generating high-quality preclinical and translational data to inform program strategy, support IND-enabling activities, and enable confident clinical interpretation. Success in this role requires strong neuromuscular biology expertise, hands-on experience with AAV gene therapy, and the ability to operate effectively within a cross-functional, industry-driven environment. This role will report to the Head of Discovery & Translational Development and will be based in Solid’s Corporate Headquarters located in Hood Park in Charlestown, MA and is a primarily onsite position.
