About The Position

ZF CV Systems North America LLC has a job opening for the position of Senior Software Integration Engineer based out of its location in Auburn Hills, MI. Job Duties:  Lead all e-drive root cause investigations in North America. Resolve all software related issues found on vehicles in North America with e-drives installed. Perform software parameterization to optimize performance on all customer vehicles in North America. Single Point of contact; software interface between Germany engineers and North America application engineers. Parameter optimization, testing, and validation of all new software functions for North America. Develop software-based Test Equipment to support North America qualification and commissioning of new software versions on a test bench for Auburn Hills and key customers. Train North American software application engineers on proper use of test equipment, commissioning of software, and diagnosis & resolution of software related issues at customers and in the field. A hybrid (in-office and telecommute) work schedule is available. This position requires up to 25%-30% travel (per year) to Germany to interface with colleagues regarding North America customer software support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or closely related field, plus 5 years of experience in systems or hardware, controls or software, product development, testing and/or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience with: Commercial Vehicles Electric Drives Propulsion Products using eDriveline Systems, including central electric drives, wheel, and axle electric drives; Control software in electronic control modules for commercial vehicle electric axles; Automotive communication protocols including SAE J1939, and powertrain and transmission controls; Data acquisition and development tools including CANalyzer, CANApe, INCA, and ATI Vision; Software design and development standards including ASPICE - ISO/IEC 15504, Functional Safety - ISO26262, Cyber Security ISO/SAE 21434, and AUTOSAR; and High Voltage Level 2 Powertrain (also known as, DGUV 209-093 Certificate, previously known as DGUV 200-006).
