About The Position

The Senior Talent Strategy Advisor acts as a strategic partner to senior leadership, driving workforce planning, talent strategy, culture, and organizational effectiveness initiatives that enable business success. This trusted partner shapes the employee experience and cultivates a positive, high-performing culture within assigned business units. Blending deep business acumen, data-driven insights, and executive coaching expertise, the Senior Talent Strategy Partner crafts talent strategies aligned with organizational goals. Success in this capacity requires influencing at the highest levels and delivering measurable outcomes through innovative HR solutions. The Senior Talent Strategy Advisor position reports to the Chief Human Resources Officer and can be based out of our home office in Topeka, Kansas, or our Overland Park, Kansas location. We work a hybrid schedule, offering flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a strategic HR role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and HR systems.
  • Proven track record in workforce planning, organizational design, and executive coaching.
  • Experience leveraging HR analytics and technology for strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior leaders.
  • Experience managing organizational change and driving cultural transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior executives to design and execute talent strategies that support long-term business objectives.
  • Lead workforce planning and forecasting using advanced analytics to anticipate talent needs and mitigate risks.
  • Design and drive engagement initiatives, align cultural priorities with SB’s values, and partner with senior leaders to ensure employees feel valued, informed and empowered.
  • Drive organizational capability building, including leadership development, succession planning, and culture transformation.
  • Provide executive coaching and advisory support to senior leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness.
  • Diagnose organizational performance gaps and implement solutions such as structure redesign, process optimization, and change management.
  • Align performance management, rewards, and recognition programs to foster engagement and innovation.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, L&D, Compensation, Benefits) and HR Operations (Employee Relations, HR Technology and Analytics) to deliver integrated, data-driven HR solutions.
  • Diagnose gaps between current and desired organization performance and deploy actions to resolve gaps, including organization redesign, process change, coaching and training.
