About The Position

This position reports to the Director of Transient Sales Concentrate efforts in selling all aspects of the Hotel with a focus on Consortia Accounts and Wholesale Accounts as directed Travel extensively (up to 50%) visiting key accounts and attending key travel shows both internationally and domestically Analysis and assessment of data to determine new accounts and to grow existing accounts within the assigned segments Strategic mindset partnering with Revenue team and sales directors to manage accounts in accordance with hotel objectives Maintain good working relationship with travel buyers Prepare proposals/contracts in a timely fashion Conduct sales visits, site inspections and outside sales calls Develop new markets and sources of business Participate in business review meeting and other hotel meetings as appropriate. Generate ideas for marketing of product such as packages and promotional offers. Take up special assignments as assigned. Maintain effective communication channel with Revenue Team, Reservations Manager and Reservations Team. Follow up with clients and coordinate with internal operation departments. Attend and contribute to sales meetings. Regular update on competitors and market intelligence Regular update on Trade shows. Requirements

  • Four-year college degree is required
  • At least three years of Sales experience in luxury hotel
  • Experience working with high level clientele
  • Thorough knowledge of sales operations, product knowledge and competition.
  • Utilize software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point and/ or Outlook Express
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and being proactive is required
  • Proven track record of success in achievement of past sales goals

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in using Salesforce is preferred.
