About The Position

At Slate, we’re building safe, reliable vehicles that people can afford, personalize and love—and doing it here in the USA as part of our commitment to reindustrialization. The spirit of DIY and customization runs throughout every element of a Slate, because people should have control over how their trucks look, feel, and represent them. Employer: Re:Car, Inc. (d/b/a Slate) Position: Sr. Vehicle CAE NVH Engineer (Job Code: 1014) Duties: Responsible for performing Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) simulations to develop and optimize EV body, chassis, and closures structure; use CAE tools to lead and guide vehicle NVH design; assess NVH performance of Body-in-White (BIW), trimmed body, and full vehicle using ANSA, OptiStruct, HyperMesh, and similar tools; develop and debug full vehicle NVH models using pre-processing tools such as ANSA and HyperMesh; provide design improvement recommendations based on NVH simulation results; analyze results to identify issues and optimize solutions through multiple simulation iterations; utilize ANSA, HyperMesh, Nastran, OptiStruct, HyperView, HyperGraph, META Post, and MeshWorks to perform duties; support component and vehicle testing and perform simulations to correlate CAE results with physical test data; apply advanced methodologies like Design of Experiments (DOE) and Design for Six Sigma (DSS) for design optimization; generate detailed technical reports summarizing simulation results and design enhancements; and collaborate with design, manufacturing, testing and supplier teams to achieve target NVH performance.
