ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: Servers are responsible for serving food and beverage, according to Flying Horse Standards; Resulting in the complete satisfaction of the guests dining in our Clubhouse Restaurants. Our team members use their talent to offer the most effective services/products in the industry for the best guest experience. The Server will be passionate about our culture, food, wine, alcoholic beverages, and service to thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition and previous experience working in a bustling, fast-paced, fine dining setting.

Requirements

  • Have a proven record within a luxury service environment
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Be a great communicator and primarily be guest focused
  • Be determined to create a memorable customer experience
  • Possess strong team skills
  • Be physically fit and be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Have previous serving experience
  • Be highly organized
  • Have good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • A minimum of two years of restaurant experience in fine dining is preferred
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate, possess good organizational abilities and be capable of multi-tasking
  • Must possess customer service skills and strong oral communication skills
  • Competency in dealing with members and fellow employees under circumstances requiring tact and diplomacy
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively under deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Prepare room for dining by setting tables with, cloth, decorations, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils
  • Assist Guests in selecting food and beverages by offering cocktails, suggesting courses, explaining the menu & chef's specialties, identifying appropriate wines & answering food & drink preparation questions
  • Stay updated on current menu choices, specialties, menu deviations & knowing if the kitchen staff is running out of any items, etc.
  • Transmit orders to bar and kitchen by recording patrons' choices; identifying patrons' special dietary needs and special requests
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Serve orders and anticipate additional patron needs
  • Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling beverages
  • Properly describe, open and pour wine tableside
  • Perform basic side-work as needed or directed by management
  • Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Flying Horse Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the volume
  • Fill in for absent staff as needed and/or assist with special events as needed
  • Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently
  • Follow all money handling procedures when serving the guest
  • Promptly address customer service issues and refer customers to management when necessary

Under the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA), employees accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year. Other legally required benefits, such as workers' compensation and unemployment insurance, also apply. Additionally, we provide a 401(k) retirement plan with an employer match. All benefits are subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents, including eligibility requirements and waiting periods, as required by law.
